Friendship and Essential Oils

I am so thankful for all of the great people that I have met as a result of my introduction to essential oils.  Not only have the oils had a profound effect on my life, but I have met some amazing people that have enriched my life with their kindness, their knowledge and their friendship.  I have met people who I would have never met had it not been for these little bottles of goodness!  So today I will talk about three bottles of essential oil that will improve your chances of meeting people and making new friends; Palo Santo(Bursera graveolens), Bergamot (Citrus Bergamia) and Sandalwood (Santalum album).  I am currently diffusing these oils using the following recipe, which I recommend to everyone as an homage to your friends:

3 drops Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens)

2 drops Sandalwood (Santalum album)

5 drops Bergamot (Citrus Bergamia)

Palo Santo is found throughout Latin America from Mexico down to northern Argentina and is a member of the Bursaraceae family, like Frankincense and Myrrh.  The name Palo Santo is "Holy Wood" in Spanish, perhaps because it was revered by the Inca and used in purifying and cleansing rituals similar to how Frankincense and Myrrh have been used spiritually throughout history. The oil is known throughout history to combat negative energy, to cleanse the mind of negative thoughts and to open and purify.  In this blend, this oil is a good prep for opening and clearing the mind to accept friendship.

Sandalwood essential oil (Santalum album) is a very sacred oil most associated with spirituality in India where it has been used for thousands of years in sacred rituals, so much so that the tree has been in danger of extinction and is highly regulated in India.   Today, most of the Sandalwood oil of this particular genus and species is being sustainably grown in Australia.  Sandalwood is an excellent oil for balancing emotions and allowing you to be present in the moment.  Be present with your friends and enjoy their company with Sandalwood essential oil.

Bergamot essential oil, Citrus Bergamia, comes from cold pressing the rind of the Bergamot orange, known for giving the unique flavoring to Earl Grey tea.  Bergamot is an amazing oil for reducing stress and tension and promoting confidence.  Use this oil to reduce any stress you may have about meeting new people to help you to be open to accepting their friendship!  Beware to not use Bergamot essential oil directly on skin and go into the sun because it is extremely phototoxic.  One should wait a minimum of 18 hours after application before going into the sun if you have used Bergamot on skin in a concentration higher than 1 drop per ounce!

Enjoy this blend with your friends and make new ones!
